I’d take Kane over everyone mentioned, assuming Haaland is unrealistic. He is exactly the kind of player that we keep crossing to, only he isn’t there.

would it block a bid for Haaland in a year or two - I tink it would which would be a shame

rather wait for someone like Haaland to become a realistic option and thats only waiting a year

Plus rumours are we are trying to extend Sergios contract so getting another centre forward makes zero sense at this time.

wait another year and use that 100m or whatever to bid for someone who can be here 8-10 years not Kane who we would get 5 years out of at most (and maybe less with this injury record)

I'd take Kane,

Course we'd also have to re-enforce the physio team because we at good with injuries at the best of times.

Spuds play Kane into the ground every season. They've got no other options and that's why he gets so many injuries. He will get injuries when he plays for City but it won't be because of getting overplayed. He'll score 40 goals a season playing for City and win a pot load of medals. He will break Shearers Premier League goal scoring record. I see absolutely no down side to this signing

Kane is a top striker but he’s a sick note. Multiple serious ankle injuries already and only going to get worse with age.

We have a terrible record in regards to injuries and don’t need another injury prone player specially at that price.

Rather wait for Mbappe. Contract up in 2022, not looking like signing a new one.

We can go head to head with Real for him next summer. PSG will not let him go for free.

I did hear that we nearly got Mbappe last summer but his dad stepped in and nixed the deal. Can't guarantee the source but disappointing if true. I don't doubt we'd be at the table if he was available.

If he scores 40 goals a season, does it really matter how many games he would play?

We have Sergio for another year, we have Gabs, we have Raheem - Foden will be chipping in with double figures next season.

City need to sort the Sergio successor this summer as next year the market may have corrected itself to previous prices or not far off.

Kane at 27 is a home PR win, he's lethal in the penalty box and, commercially, huge.
And a lazy fucker

I'm sticking to my prediction in that Harry Kane would be totally shit if he did sign for us and I just don't get the hype surrounding player. Each to their own.

Makes sense to me - very much in the mould of the type of person wanted by our club

Not sure Kane would stay in England if he leaves Spurs don’t think either he or Spurs want it. So don’t think it’s Kane anyway. My guess Martinez, or if it was really big somebody like Mbappe even Haaland, more like players we would want before Kane. Think 93:20 blue mentioned a really big one too.

He's made just 206 appearances in 11 years and scored 142 goals?

Fuck me, that is an incredible record for so few games.
That’s a bit misleading really. He didn’t start for Spurs until April 2014 when he was 21, after being on loan from 2011. So in 6 seasons he’s played those 206 PL games (34 games a season) and scored those 142 PL goals (24 goals a season).

in the last two seasons he’s played 28 league games and scored 17 goals each time.
In Europe he’s got 30 in 55 as well as 14 in 10 in the FA cup. Not only that but he plays every minute of every game at Spurs which he wouldn’t be doing at City. As such, I think he’d be an unbelievably good signing.
