Every time I watch Messi and the fake Ronaldo everything revolves around them. Its like watching Paul Daniels and 10 Debbie Magee`s.

So as crazy as it sounds I`d prefer not to see the best player in the world at Messi City.

Messi is the greatest of all time, no doubt in my mind. But if we have the means to drop so much money on him, at 33, why not drop it on Haaland/Mbappe etc and have a superstar for 10 years? I’d be buzzing if we got him, but I’d also be left confused as to why we’re adding another ageing forward that would need replacing soon.

The best ever, but that ship has sailed for me. If we have the dollar, buy Haaland.
