I believe Messi will be a City player, not sure if that is now, in Jan or next summer. I suppose it all depends if the criteria for City is that he has to come on a free transfer to make the finances work

The upside is when he comes it also means that Pep will be staying for at least 3 years from now as they are a mutually exclusive package.

Whatever happens the squad will be much stronger this season than last as I am sure we will add a centre half alongside the excellent buys of Ake and Torres
