Not sure about that, to be honest. We set the standard three seasons ago whereby you have to be on it from the start. If anything, I'd say a slight mid season lull is the least damaging.

I agree. But 100 & 98 point seasons, whilst great to see, should be the "exception" not the norm. You can't compete at that level for 4 or 5 seasons on the bounce. As shown this year, it took its toll on our players, in my opinion TOC....regardless of the 'Rona.

After every peak there's a trough...but there's another Peak to be climbed.

Carlos is Otamendi with pace. Which is Otamendi without his biggest weakness so a massive improvement but for €75m a bit underwhelming.

Whatever. Most important thing is we are getting some pace and physicality into the backline one way or the other
