Apparently BBC radio Manchester have reported that there will no more signings. Not sure whether they are reliable but that’s what they have reported

There are issues with the balance of our squad but we still nevertheless have a very talented squad. Pep needs to find a way to get the best from them. Watching us recently we need the players to find more focus and belief... that won’t be fixed by signings. The squad need to knuckle down and find some collective self belief. We started well yesterday and could (and should) have had the game won in the first 30 minutes. Our usual erratic finishing cost us again and when we didn’t kill the game off, our performance dropped off alarmingly and for 35 mins we were second best until Pep reluctantly changed things up. I remain a huge Pep fan but he has a job on his hands to arrest a slump and get the best from this squad.

I can't understand how Khaldoon, Txiki and co could see our last two league games, plus how far behind we were last season and the shit cup games v Arse and Lyon and think yes the current squad is good enough to challenge for the title and CL.

We have no reliable left back.
No pace or dynamism in midfield.
And only two senior strikers, one of whom is frequently injured.

In fairness though maybe we should wait until the full squad is back? Aguero, Jesus, Gundogan, cancelo? Bernardo Silva and Laporte only just back from injuries?

Of the 4 you listed: Cancelo rarely plays, Gundogan is a cause of frustration for most when playing alongside Rodri due to lack of mobility, Jesus and Aguero both cannot play at once. I do agree it’ll help having them back but we should still be better with what we have.

Agreed but many of the present problems were apparent last season when those players were available - perhaps with the exception of Laporte

Bayern's team that won the Champions League Final last season:

Neuer - €30m
Kimmich - €8.5m
Boateng - €13.5m
Alaba - €150k
Davies - €10m
Goretzka - Free
Thiago - €25m
Gnabry - €8m
Müller - Free
Coman - €21m
Lewandowski - Free

You don't need to spend crazy money for good players. Bayern's back four cost €10m less than Mangala.
you missed out the poaching side to run contracts down, but i agree you dont need team full off elite players

Most of them players they tapped up or waited till their clubs had no option to sell cheap.

They are the tap up champions of Europe, absolutely hate them. They break the rules all the time then constantly have a chip on their shoulder about City. They're doing it to Chelsea now with Hudson Odoi.

Only works in Germany, mainly with German players, because they know Bayern are the only club that consistently win the league and can win the c/l. Completely different situation to England.
I understand that. A business model shouldn't be criticized though if it works for that particular club, unless of course it's pointing and laughing at Trafford.

Whatever works, right?

Think we try to do the right thing and not act like cunts.

Most of there players are snapped up in their league or are germans playing abroad, as they are a one team championship any player wanting to win in Germany will go to bayern and many will facilitate their running down your contract for a big signing on fee spiel.

I still expect them to start tapping up Haland in the new year to stay in germany and sign for them in 2-3 years

Maybe the right way is why our recruitment isn't up to scratch right now?
If we did to Haaland what you think Bayern will do, I'd be more than ok with that. A bit ruthless, gaining an edge.
