It is a concern. I think Laporte already had doubts about moving to Manchester in the first place. Also Dias does not have the same standing when next to Laporte. His is not as dominant. Laporte’s attitude when playing alongside Dias is petulant imo.

If we have to decide I would keep stones regardless of his performances at the euros. The defensive combination of Stones/Dias will only improve. You need a submissive and a dominant partner.

We can’t keep an unhappy player no matter his name or reputation.

For the good of the team. Laporte needs to leave if he can’t adjust his attitude, stop moaning to the papers and form a better partnership with Dias than Stones.

Imo he will take the lift back to Spain, it’s only a matter of time.

I am also convinced that Rodri would make an exceptional CB. Probably a non starter.

I agree with forcing him to stay a year though. There can only be so much disruption in one summer and Aguero has already gone, Bernardo seems to have asked a year ago so he's got priority.

Not sure about him being better than Laporte. But especially given Euros and tight schedule again, injuries could play a major part agreed. Just have to make sure whatever happens depth isn't lost.

agree don’t get it really he will play plenty of games and he performs he will get the main matches what I think he is moaning about as in he ain’t first choice! We’ll stones wasn’t first choice Zin fought like mad to get in the team even refusing to move! That’s what you want in a player!
 
If laporte is to go, ideal replacement would be a left footed leader. If dias gets injured, I think stones will struggle without a leader playing next to him.

Stones record without Dias is better than his record with him.

I think he is fine without Dias its just all about confidence for Stones. When he's confident he's as good as anyone.

Sam Lee is a waste of space though. Wouldn’t read much into anything he says.
