I was half joking when I made that comment, but it’s not shocking it passed by everyone. Having said this, it is not incorrect that the UCL does influence business. Look at DiasKinda missing the point. BP pointed out it is unliky the club are not plannning any January business because they are waiting to see how other clubs fare in the champions league.
Whether we do or don't buy players in January, pretty safe to think that is right.

That is Pep’s call. What is he seeing, how does he see us against the bigger teams in the later UCL stages. That he thinks we need one, it’s indisputable. It’s clear to me that we have lost points and struggled in Paris due to this. Maybe he wants it fixed in January, or maybe in the summer. We will know soon. It’s certainly not going to be determined by a supposed club policy of not doing anything in January that doesn’t existIf we were struggling big time then I could see us buying. But we are doing just fine. Clearly we need a CF but that will be addressed next summer.

Why do people make it personal? “You are going to be very disappointed”, what?! I love the team too. But we very possibly have only a season and a half left with Pep, so strengthening the team for him for the back half of the season isn’t a crazy idea, especially after the club failed himI think you are going to be very disappointed. Personally I am loving the team we have and we will welcome Torres back to the fold in January. If we don’t win the league or CL then so be it. We will be back strong next season.
