Did you mention Spurs liked mahrez @tolmie's hairdoo ? If so unfortunately it would mean he would actually accept going to Spurs which is unlikely

Yep, the only caveat being if there are any release clauses in that contract he signed, say for failing to qualify for the Champs League.
