Yeah and I’m fine with it from that point of view and fair play to them tbh.

my issue is the entire approach, considering it in the first place doesn’t exactly scream confidence about our strategy in this window and pretty much confirms absolute blinkers on for Kane.

Fwiw Duncan Castles may not be overly reliable but he mentioned that we were exploring the opportunity of Lewandowski, not as interested in Ronaldo. A day before it all unfolded.

Have read a few bluemooners moaning that City should have acted quicker to get Ronaldo.
Perhaps it was Ronaldo side slowing things down to the rags interested. Perhaps that was Ronaldo plan all along.
Perhaps City thought something odd here and backed out, plus City never put a bid in for him.

It would be better if City just came out straight away and say the stories are bollocks we arent interested.

Another way of looking at it is, maybe we went along with it a little so that it allowed the rags to get spooked into adding him onto their wage bill
