Let's stop this nonsense, Berna doesn't make any risky passes, of course we keep the ball better, but KDB is the best player on the planet.Let's be happy that a good player like Kdb is playing for us and will most likely become a legend here. Say what you want but Berna has nothing to do with Kdb's level and I can't even say that Berna works harder than Kdb,because Kdb is the example of a player who can run the whole game and sprint even when he has to breathe on his ass. Top class player.
Isn’t he already?

What have I missed? Why do people think getting rid of Bernardo would solve any of our problems? Are we really that desperate for a new toy?

In my opinion, Bernardo is a dream player to have in a squad. Never complains, works hard, top quality and versatile. We dont need the money, he has said nothing about wanting to leave, so why on earth would we sell him? Makes zero sense.
No one has said we should, whats being discussed is if Bernardo wanted to move on as far as I can see.
If there is a release clause there cannot be a bidding war....all any club has to do is match the release clause so Im guessing if that were to happen then Haaland would just decide on who he wanted to go to....basing it on whatever factors he deems most important...

I agree...Kane seems to be our target for what ever reason(s)

what Im saying is that If we are going to put 120m-150m on the table for Kane then we should do it for Haaland as it would be financial suicide for Dortmund to turn it down...
Not suicide think financially they will sell Sancho and are fine
The question for Dortmund is what is Haaland worth to them for next season. I guess they will have a figure who knows what that is.
It might be € 50 mill so a bid over €125 mill is needed, but it could be its €75 mill so €150 is what they want this summer. They might decide to keep him at all costs.
In the end it’s down to Dortmund, we need to be prepared with other options, we might already know, fair chance we do.

How do you think Haaland feels about Dortmund selling their joint best player and a huge supplier of Haalands goals?!

What every Haaland is worth next season it aint making up that potential 60-90m difference in transfer fees (and thats not including his wages....they aint winning the champs league and Bayern regualry dominate the Bundersleague....plus the Tv money over there aint nowhere near what it is here....therefore losing out on 60-90m worth of transfer fee (in a covid destroyed economy) is suicidal.
It is down to Dortmund...and we will have other options (Plan A,B and C etc) - Kane and Haaland will be the top 2 but potentially others as well.

I am not confident City will be prepared to put up £120m to £150m for either player. Personally, I hope we go all out for Haaland, who is younger and is an absolute beast of a striker who I think would score a shed load. However, Kane is an excellent player who will also guarantee goals, assists and is a very clever player. My main concern with Kane is that he is prone to ankle injuries.

completely irrelevant as he'll obviously be offered a new contract

but hey, clicks

Bidding war with his dad and Raiola.

You keep saying this, it is pretty obvious we are about to throw 120m+ on a striker unless we think Kane is going to be cheaper because we have Ake or someone to offer so there is a reason we are not putting it on the table for Haaland.
