we could waver the sell on fee for Sancho....win win

It’s not win anything though is it?

The sell on fee for Sancho has a value and, yes, we can maybe trade it in a bid (subject to us agreeing a value with Dortmund - a value that they would agree if they thought they were having our trousers down) ) or we can leave the sell on fee until it becomes due and pay cash instead.
It isn’t a win for anyone it’s only a matter of taking what is our money out of a bank account or negotiating with Dortmund to take what is our money out of a sell on fee.

Nobody gets anything for nothing, there isn’t any free money to pluck out of the air . . and the notion that it’s a win win is daft daft.

Either that or our number one target is Harry Kane ;)
Could well be mate, however there’s no logical reason for him to be our number one target ahead of Erling other than him not being available this window, however I find that hard to believe as money talks.

Im really hoping that is the case.....its gone very quiet on Haaland....however its also gone quiet mostly on Kane accept these speculative reports on the ammount Spurs supposedly want for him (which anyone could easily take a complete random guess at if we are being honest)
Sometimes quiet is good.

Why wouldnt Dortmund be bothered....if they sell for 100m....15% sell on fee is 15m to us or that they can keep.....again thats a lot of money to clubs who are desperate due to covid...plus 120-150m for Haaland.....
Thats a minumum total of around 135m that Dormund could have off us/earn.....compared to potentially 65m (I think thats the clause that kicks in next year)....thats a potential loss of 70m - board members, share owners etc will care about that sort of loss....No way keeping Haaland for one more year gets them that back

Haaland will be sold for his full market value, how that is split between Dortmund, Haaland, Raiola and Haaland’s dad makes no difference.

Haaland’s market value will not suddenly drop because a clause saying he can be sold for a fraction of that market value kicks in, and Dortmund wouldn’t make anymore money if Haaland were sold tomorrow for £150M because Haaland and his entourage wouldn’t agree to a transfer if it gave them less of a take than they’d get next summer.

And he’d still cost his full market value if he could leave tomorrow on a free transfer, it would just be expressed as a huge signing on fee, huge agents fee, huge bung to Haaland’s dad and a massive salary. The buying club would effectively pay the full market value.

There isn’t a magic spell that makes a player suddenly available at less than the highest valuation that any club would pay for him (market value) at any given time.

Not everybody believes Haaland is the better player. Kane has done it year in year out in the toughest league in the world. It’s perfectly feasible that Kane is our top target.

Utter bollocks. So we give Sergio a huge send off and Ferna just leaves and turns the lights off?
Comedy gold lol......his contract ends in few weeks so he can sign for anyone then......even us again if we offer and he accepts.
We haven't said we aren't going to offer extension.
Does explain alot of the transfer forum when people can't even understand basics like this!
