I am not confident City will be prepared to put up £120m to £150m for either player. Personally, I hope we go all out for Haaland, who is younger and is an absolute beast of a striker who I think would score a shed load. However, Kane is an excellent player who will also guarantee goals, assists and is a very clever player. My main concern with Kane is that he is prone to ankle injuries.
agree with all of that...

My other concerns about Kane (along with his ankle injuries) are that he aint particualrly mobile and cannot play across the front 3 ---haaland can

Haaland has pace that frightens defences......I know we dont often play like that but there are plenty moments in a season and esp when playing the bigger teams that we can use it...its just another string to our bow...how many times have Gabby, Sterling Mahrez fucked up a chance to break quickly....Haaland is very good at this..Kane isnt.

Commitment and attitude....Haaland has the personality and would be committed....would Kane.??..Spurs fan through and through....doesnt ever do well against the best teams (Haaland at least created an assist in games against us that we dominated)...Kane doesnt grab games by the scruff of the neck.....Haaland can and would do.

Age

Off the pitch: Marketability.

Bidding war with his dad and Raiola.

You keep saying this, it is pretty obvious we are about to throw 120m+ on a striker unless we think Kane is going to be cheaper because we have Ake or someone to offer so there is a reason we are not putting it on the table for Haaland.
we could waver the sell on fee for Sancho....win win

On the striker subject, imo we are happy to try to get some form of price for Kane sorted, as it helps flush out Dortmund and whether they are going to be stubborn and hold onto Haaland and lose money.

Hypothetically, we ”agree” a few with Spuds for say £120mil (with or without makeweights going opposite way) and then we turn round to Dortmund and say “this £120mil is yours if you want it, otherwise it’s going to Levy/Spurs for Harry. Make your decision quick style.”

I’ve just got a sneaky suspicion that all is not lost yet with getting Haaland out of Dortmund this summer.

With the price he is going to go for I don't think Dortmund are bothered however like I said, I would be very surprised if the reason we aren't going for Haaland is financial.

Either that or our number one target is Harry Kane ;)

I really hope you’re right.

Why wouldnt Dortmund be bothered....if they sell for 100m....15% sell on fee is 15m to us or that they can keep.....again thats a lot of money to clubs who are desperate due to covid...plus 120-150m for Haaland.....
Thats a minumum total of around 135m that Dormund could have off us/earn.....compared to potentially 65m (I think thats the clause that kicks in next year)....thats a potential loss of 70m - board members, share owners etc will care about that sort of loss....No way keeping Haaland for one more year gets them that back

Im really hoping that is the case.....its gone very quiet on Haaland....however its also gone quiet mostly on Kane accept these speculative reports on the ammount Spurs supposedly want for him (which anyone could easily take a complete random guess at if we are being honest)
