a little bit of news just browsing Madrid news online and looks as though they are after Lautaro and Salah in the summer. No news about Haaland same with Barca , Barca news is just about Aguero no other striker mentioned. Chelsea also are going all in on Lukaku.

So that gives us a free hit at Haaland provided we cough up? Can’t see them letting both Sancho and Haaland leave.

That is good news in some respects, as we would land about £16m as part of his sale.

United not being in the equation for Haaland is two fold.

One less competitor for us, but allows Dortmund to bluff out a non-sale for quite a bit.

Can’t see Dortmund letting both sancho and Haaland go imo. Watching him celebrate wildly in the stands yesterday as Dortmund stay in the running for a champions league place also suggests to me he wouldn’t be that upset to stay another year. One more year in Germany then have the choice of all the big sides in Europe earning a huge signing fee as well thanks to the lower transfer fee. Seems a pretty obvious choice to make

I think it will be 3 main players.....

Striker (hopefully Haaland)
LB (nuno Mendes - know nothing about him however)
Grelish

there will be the usual transfers of kids (ins and outs) that will be farmed out to CFG clubs as well

Out:
Aguero (Barca bound to keep Messi happy)
Ferna (possibly - but id keep him after the way he has played this season - he has proven he is still the best option)
Mendy - (we can hope but He will cling on till his contract runs out)
Im guessing there maybe a suprise exit as well - Sterling, Mahrez potentially

Get grealish and Kane in and it improves us big time, adds hunger to win and keeps existing players on their toes

Kane works his nuts off defending from the front,he's also a huge asset when defending set pieces.

Would his heart be in it? Fucking hell,the lad plays with it on his chest,he is the ultimate winner (just a shame for him his current club arent)

It’s so funny to hear for months about people saying City wouldn’t get involved in a bidding war for Haaland, and then when all the signs pointing to us being the best positioned there, people start talking about Kane, which would be a much worse bidding war and one that would end (even if we weren’t to have him, but just through our involvement) helping to massively improve a rival. It’s a big non-starter

Notice that this was written one year ago and he’s improved since then.
Dortmund isn’t a pressing side, but that doesn’t mean you can’t see his pressing qualities there. And before Dortmund, he was at Salzburg, which is one the most aggressive pressing teams in the continent, and worked his ass off there

Agree on the first part about his hold up play
Haaland has the ability to press - he may not be required to do this at Dortimund but he has the ability
Foden presses as well as Jesus...so do Salah and Mane for the red scouse
