Some of cards spurs hold have I.O.U. to various banks.
Spurs need the money

Spuds have a mountain of debt and some of their projected income streams may be impacted for some time.... will NFL games take place in the UK next year? They leveraged aggressively and made made equally aggressive revenue growth assumptions THAT will be very challenging. They will need to raise cash at some point - the pandemic couldn’t have come at a worse time for them.

Levy is a very shrewd operator, don't underestimate him.

Kane has 3 years left on his deal, Spurs hold all the cards.

He can't be that shrewd?

He's sold both Modric and Bale to Madrid, nobody can argue Real didn't get the better end of that deal?

He sold us Kyle Walker for £50m, the medals he has since accumulated suggests, again, we got him for a song.

He lets Pochettino go and hires a burned out Mourinho, before sacking him three days before a League Cup final.

He's no closer to appointing a recognised, top quality replacement.

In addition, he's lauded for spending £1bn of loans to build a stadium that should look fantastic for that price.

His best player now wants out and Spurs are now into their second decade since they last won a trophy.

Sounds to me like Levy has done a pretty crap job!

Those are the facts for Spurs but the likes of Levy struggle with facts and tend to write and believe their own narrative. I don’t think Kane is the PL top earner but, put a £150m valuation on him and he should be on £300k plus a week - which he isn’t but his agent will be working on that.

He's already on £230k a week at Spurs, according to some of their pack and can earn £300k a week with scoring bonuses.

After the shite from all angles last night, I would like to request we recruit the best of English talent, sterling, Kane, foden, Sancho, grealish, Bellingham. Why, because I’m fed up to the back teeth of all the bias and non-recognition of greatness. This might change approach of some
I f#cking ruins any please I get from watching

They have secured the two NFL games this year ahead of Wembley.

From what you are hearing TH would you say its more likely we end up with Kane or Haaland? I know that its probably just more guess work than anything at this point but Id be really interested to hear your view point on this....

For me Kane cuts out our chances of getting Haaland if we did get Kane...obviously....for me there is more longevity with Haaland (especially if we continue to be successful and as a club we seem to treat players very well so no reaosn to think he wouldnt stay), Id say haaland is more mobile, able to press better, able to pay across the front 3 unlinke Kane. I know kane's scoring record is excellent but for me he goes missing in big matches (including international matches at tournaments)....He also has no pace and there are legitimate injruy concerns with his ankle(s) which are only going to get worse in the next couple of years.

I just dont see why if we are going to go to 100m for Kane (plus the rest potnetially) why we wouldnt test Dortmunds resolve by offering the same for Haaland...

Is haaland more marketable than Kane or vice versa? Kane is as think as pig shit (however that didnt stop Beckham) - would this be part of the thinking of having the England capt in the squad - personally I dont want us to have anything to do with the England international circus that surrounds trounaments...having the England Capt at the club would cause that.

I can see why he would be an alterantive but I think we need to put the pressure on Dortmund (esp as if ou say Haaland is really keen to play for us)

We miss out this summer we have a potentially deteriorating Kane for the next few seasons instead of an improving young striker....who could end up staying longer and has more attributes that we require.

City flat out said were not interested. Portgual chatting shit again. Pointless to even discuss
This was just done due to the CL final.

You must believe everything soulless corporates say. (City are no different sadly to that).

This is a club that denied Pep Guardiola was going to succeed Pellegrini and that Mancini was going to be sacked.

For me, if Kane is on the table then we have either been told under no circumstances Dortmund are selling Haaland or the lad himself doesn't want to come here. I don't see any 'footballing' reason why we would choose Kane. We also probably believe waiting 12mths wouldn't make a difference and Haaland will go elsewhere, can we afford to not get a striker in this summer, I don't think so.

I think saying Kane doesn't show up in big games is harsh, he plays in a shit team. His most recent managers are more bothered about losing than winning.

50m for Spurs RE Walker was an amazing deal at the time, but agreed Walker has proved to be a great signing for us.

The stadium is stunning and to be fair you could not have possibly have accounted for covid and the consequences.

Lets not forget who Levy operates under, Joe Lewis, so he calls a lot of the shots and he like a lot of owners now, only see's success as a balance sheet and not a trophy cabinet.

Up to Spurs losing in the Champions league final things were going well, agreed is all gone Pete Tong since.

Joe Lewis is his uncle, yes?

Agree with your first paragraph...

we will have to disagree on your second (though the bit about the managers is accurate)

Might have it wrong, sure read it in a Martin Samuel column recently?

I know he is best pals with Lewis's son Charlie and that's why they set up Enic together, bankrolled by his old man.
Just done some reading and I can't find any family link, although all articles mention that they are both very "close"

It is quite possible that Pep doesn't have a wank over Haaland every night, and doesn't see him as this 'generational talent' that the fifa21 squad on this forum do....when Lakaku was at Anderlect, there were plenty on here convincing themselves that he was the same.

Maybe the elusive ‘footballing reasons‘ for City wanting Kane rather than Haaland are that Kane’s not only a proven striker in the Premier League but he’s a scoring machine.
Whereas Haaland would need to adapt to the the Premier League and not all players do.
Look at Werner, for instance, he had better stats than Haaland in his last season in Germany, and he’s an excellent player, but he’s not scoring for fun here is he?

And I say that from the perspective of a bloke who‘s very meh about the prospect of getting Kane, as we need to recognise that Haaland, like many before him, may not reach the heights that his magnificent early progress would seem to herald.
