As ever...pinch of salt always needed cos things can easily be wrong, but just told by the same person who told me re Bernardo when he signed, Grealish being done and a couple of days ago that it was more Pep driving the Kane thing than City, that the club are now genuinely considering Ronaldo on a short term deal. Heh. I have no reason not to trust this person. Doesn't mean it will happen, but basically the links are real seemingly.

I could never really see Kane joining us, despite the efforts involved, and we’ve done the right thing by not giving in on the price. Even 100mn would have been ridiculous given his age.

I think Ronaldo could well join us, with Mendes presumably doing a deal on Bernado as well, and if we could also sign a defensive midfielder (Bissouma) then we’d have a fantastically well balanced squad.

Stick Laporte at left back, give Mendy away in a raffle and it would be a great transfer window for us.
