It's Quiet Thread 4

The agent of Barcelona striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic says his client will be staying at the Catalan club, despite speculation linking the player with a move to AC Milan or Manchester City. (Press Association)

I know agents usualy say that to talk up a deal, but what would be the point in this deal. Its already public that Barca are skint, and they want rid.

Just wait til Inter declares that they are not interested in Mascherano any more..Was just a plot as part of the deal with City ;)

it was pretty funny how that went deadly quiet around the time of the Balotelli talks.

i don't get the Masch/Balotelli thing?

It seems that Liverpool expected that City buying Balotelli would trigger Inter's bid to buy Mascherano.

But around the time the Balotelli talks got serious, Inter's interest in Javier apparently cooled.

think about the players;

Mancini = Former Inter Manager. Still on good terms with Moratti.
Benitez = Former Liverpool Manager. Knows the Liverpool situation.
and even Hodgson = former Inter Manager.

plenty of scope for paranoid theories.

right...so....

Ibra didn't play for Barca tonight.

The Spanish press are talking as though him leaving is a fait accompli that has been forced upon Guardiola.

Galliani says Ibra to Milan is 99.9% fantasy because of the wages, but "fantasies are good for us".

Tuttomercatoweb (who have all the best analysis of the transfer market) are not convinced, they think Milan could touch up one of the TV companies, a sponsor, or sell a bit of land (I think). For them, the pieces are falling into place. They also think Robinho to Barca is nailed on, because of the Sandro Roselli / Nike link.

Closer to home the reports don't know if Besiktas are in or out of the running for Robinho. I would guess that club, if pressed, might say it could go to deadline day. In fact the official line seems to be that City won't go back in the market... maybe the twinkle in Roberto's eye is just a twinkle in his eye. Or, as Tolmie and Others say.... maybe we're just done 'for the minute'... and 'circumstances' can always change.

the one question mark in my mind was Ade....don't ask me why, just a gut feeling after the Spurs game. but after seeing him jump for headers in Romania... actually jump for and win headers... I felt calmed, my doubts had almost disappeared. but how to interpret his interview to the English Press... broadly very positive about City and Mancini, and in the next paragraph suggesting he could be offski's as soon as January. what is that about? last person who said 'I'll wait until January' ended up on the very next Caravan to the Midlands.

Anyway, the papers ran the story that he had rejected Real.... in Madrid, reports come through that Benzema has been recalled to the Real squad...

So

Ibra is going to Milan or City, but he ain't staying put (unless he does).

Robbie is going to Barca, Besiktas, Fener, Lyon, Benfica, or staying at city.

Ade is going to Juve or Milan or another club, but probably not.

and that's before you even factor in Mascherano, who was going to Inter but now is going to Barca?

I'm almost scared to put this down, but....

Mascher to Barca.... Ibra to Milan... Ade to Juve.... Diego to Wolfsburg... Dzeko to city... damn...what about Inter?

fucked if I can keep up with this any more.
