I don't think he is ready to waltz into the team yet and start scoring goals at a 10 a season rate and nobody is saying that but he might well be a player to come into the squad, show what he is worth and maybe get some game time even if it's onkly in the cups. Alternatively he goes on loan and somewhere like BBurn sounds a decent opportunity. Not that they are the kind of team that has looked to build through midfield but it's a very competitive league and would be an excellent test for him.

I am not sure 10 goals a season is a fair target either but I do agree with TS that he definitely has goals in his game. Didn't he score 5 or 6 in one of the under 19's European campaigns? Mucg better and likley finisher than Silva I would say.

Is he still going to Rovers as nothing has been signed yet or mentioned it seems. They started ther pre season already too.
A report was made from their first preseason meet this morning, and while he wasn't named,it was stated 4 players had been brought in,3 permanent and 1 loan.

Born winner this kid, passion, enthusiasm and the will to succeed by the bucket load - given he's also developing into a very intelligent and technical midfield conductor.....it should ensure he's destined for a very bright future.

I'm very excited to see how he develops.

Looked reasonable from what bits I've seen of him perhaps due to him being a bit more physically developed than the other EDS lads.

I'd have liked to see him this pre-season but he's only young and a good season at Blackburn could get him i next seasons thoughts with Pep.

I think Gunn and Bryan should be the next two to go out on loan to a Championship squad.

Can't wait to see how Byrne develops over the next year. He can really put himself in a prime position for our first team by this time next season.
