That may well be the reason he isn't there though. He has stepped ahead of them & therefore has to play regular first team football rather than come off the bench for a cameo.

From hearing him in interviews, I think he'd prefer to be playing every week. He's definitely ahead of someone like Horsfield in the "pecking order" so if Jack wanted to be in first team training I think he would be.

I think you are probably right in that it's a decision made by both the player & club, but I wonder if it would be the same situation if not for the euros etc. Pep is so pressed for time & has to make a quick decision on what's best for JB. But if Silva etc were already back, I wonder if he would have had a look at him in pre season next to/ instead of them first. As it is, he has to work on them, very quicky, when they eventually arrive back, as a priority.

I think Jack will do well at Rovers. Feel its a good move he will come back to the club as a international player with a number of caps behind him. He can then prove to Pep what he is about some of the lads the younger guys need first team football Jack will hopefully have 2 full seasons behind him this time next year playing week in and week out.

Came on today with Blackburn 4 down against Norwich. Finished 4 - 1 but I hope he won't be starting on the bench for long.

The Blackburn fans pretty much felt the lone bright spot on the day was Byrne's sub stint for the final 27 mins. He had 23 touches for 88.2% completion rate. They said he was pesky and positive and held possession when all around him was a smoking crater of Owen Coyle toxic fallout. Let's see if it earns him a start next game.

Lol.

I have to switch off Owen Coyle when he comes on the radio so god knows what it must be like getting a team talk from him.

I swear to God Im not a robot mate.

On a srs note tho, many of our youngsters have shined at first but then faded on their loan spells, but if you had to bet on somebody who won't [fade], that would be Jack.

Btw, transfermarkt states that his loan ends in June 2018. They can't be right in this case can they?

He certainly looks like he knows where every one of his team mates on the pitch and finds them all with dead eye passes..judging by the footage of the match against Ajax during his time in Holland.Sounds a very determined young man, with a sensible head on his shoulders. Good luck to him.
