Not 100% like the Dani Alves thing but he's definitely got an inside track.

Everybody got that wrong because his private just flew over into Paris and signed a deal on a whim. No regard for City or Pep, they felt very disrespected

Yes the Alves deal was done in City's view. If that's the only transfer he missed that points to him having genuine info.

I'm pretty sure even Pep and Txiki were caught out by the Alves deal so wouldn't hold that against anybody saying that was done.

Jorginho/Sanchez as well but in fairness all three of those deals were subject to last minute u-turns

I think the bigger thing is that in the post Sam Lee basically says it's done, and he's normally a bit gun shy on transfers so for him to stick his neck out is telling.
