Stupid question maybe but can he actually sue anyone for that? Anyone know what the media law is?

In most countries law there is something called Standing.

You need to have connection to something in order to be involved in litigation. Usually this is that you've suffered demonstrable harm.


In the case of image rights, the only people who'd have standing to sue would be Villa or Grealish, the two people who have a claim to be harmed by someone misusing his image.

Pretty sure the transformative nature of these player mockups you see in every paper/website/twitter would be considered fair use or something anyway.
