Contextually speaking, go look at KDB's when we signed him from Wolfsburg. That's the levels you have to show IMO to get into this City team.

Numbers can be manipulated... Scouting will work on more than just goals, fact is you look at a players influence. Distance ran. Tackles, interceptions, sprints per game etc.

If we look at goals alone then kdb had a dogshit season this year, but in reality he didn't as his role in the side means he makes goal scoring contributions in the form of assists or the pass before an assist.

He's 25 now so from a development point of view he's reaching his peak. So you either buy now or let the boat sail tbh.

They're shit mate. Absolutely nothing special about them. 6 league goals and 10 league assists as their main man playing every minute when he's fit. A player that we would have to break our current club transfer record for. I just do not see why there's such a clamour to elevate him to world class levels and I absolutely don't see how he's anything other than 3rd/4th choice at City as a wide forward or as a number 8.

Of course these are just my opinions - maybe Grealish is the next KDB. But I've not seen anything to suggest anything of the sort yet. Foden is levels and levels above him.

Any fee would likely be in line with what we have paid before, especially now that Fernandinho‘s staying means we can waive the Luiz clause. He’s not going to develop any further at the Villa, so if the club identify him as good value, it makes sense.

A fair few advocating Sterling or Jesus leave to free up space for Graelish, and also be used in swap deals for Kane.


The club wouldn't push these players out. Certainly not to then spend 75m on Jack Graelish. IF and big if, they wanted to leave and an offer was acceptable, maybe Graelish would be a suitable squad replacement, if a price.could be agreed. But don't see it happening the other way round, club signing graelish then looking to maje room for him, not with the players we have and have worked hard to have.


The swap deals, Jesus to spurs, really, because a few don't rate him? Sterling plus hefty cash for Kane? Sterling, who in the last 3 seasons has outscored Kane on every level in 2 of those. The only one he hasnt is this season which has been a poor one, without a striker to play off. Also younger than Kane, an english international, mulriple medal winner, in CL and at a top club etc. Their value isnat the very least comparable, to suggest he goes to spurs plus a lot of cash blows my mind.

If Ric says he's heard that it's a goer then with all due respect to your villa supporting mate I'd put more credence on Bluemoons boss man's source than yours.
It's not a forgone conclusion by any stretch as every single transfer has many moving parts they can change in an instant. That said, I've no reason to believe this one isn't being worked on as a priority given everything I've seen and heard recently.
