Jack Grealish

What a crock of shite. We have not done badly given your description.
Our game is about probing and pulling teams out of shape. Hardly stop start set piece specialists thank god.
And what's with the 'Jack' crap. He is Grealish until he signs for us.

Calm down dear.

I'll simplify for you.....Jack would buy into the 'probing and pulling' just fine, our play would be even more fluid because his passing, retention, and ability to be brilliant in tight spaces,is up there with the very best.
Alongside,Bernie,Foden,Kev and maybe Kane.....our play would be mouthwatering, the drawing of fouls and set piece awards would be a bonus to our possession, not a hindrance.

Villa fan in peace. Created an account after heard about the phenomenal amount of pages you had for Grealish. I'll start off by saying always liked the blue side of Manchester over Manure. Proper club and fans.
Just thought I'd clear some things up per the comments I've been reading.

- Grealish is lifelong Villa fan. His great great great grandfather won FA Cup in 1905. That may not mean much in today's market though.
- Funds. Seen some comments about our spending and needing to sell to buy. We're listed as 6th richest owner because part owner is richest man in Egypt but that discounts other owner Wes Edens which might bump us up the list.
- Wes Edens is long time major shareholder of Milwaukee Bucks who have held onto the Greek Freak for ages and I believe they recently gave him the biggest contract in NBA history. Long story short owners have a plan which includes money offered for marquee player is irrelevant to clubs progress.
- Luiz buyback expires soon. Have seen some comments here that could be used as a makeweight for Grealish. We bought Sanson last season for similar role. I really like Doug but many Villa fans thought last season wasn't as good as the previous and are not overly fussed.

Sorry for the screed of text but thought you'd like to hear Villa fan's opinion. Any comments welcome

Welcome

Poor by his usual standards, the exquisite first touch and close control was a bit off and we didn't get him on the ball enough,if that was the first time you had watched him (which is clearly the case with many on this thread)i can imagine being a bit underwhelmed.
That aside he was still a constant and bullish menace, and amongst our better performers.
Southgate played him centrally, which isn’t his forte. He did ok there, but he isn’t a number 10. He needs licence to roam around.

So when’s Jack signing for City? ;)

Im surprised with his supreme technical ability and his bite in the tackle and his composure in tight spaces I thought he’d excel in the 10 role. He’s been mooted as KDB’s successor so the bar is high!

Whilst true, it’s an unfamiliar position for him and he’s hardly played with the players he played with last night.

I also think KDB is wasted as a 10 and is far more effective playing from deeper.

He’s a baller. Maybe his name is not sexy enough, compared to an exotic foreigner. Know this, regret will live long in the memory if he rocks up elsewhere.

Whether it be Raz, Bernardo or Gabby, they need to make way.

Welcome.

Also, will you wave fake bank notes at him if he does sign?

;-p

Intersting assessment. I think Kev is a world class 10 tbh. Seen him play there plenty down the years.
