I notice you and "oh Right" have just joined the forum. im guessing you are young-ish. Cheating is a cunts trick. it shows that you cant achieve the same result on your own merits. Dont like seeing any City players do it, regardless of winning. If winning is the be all and end all, you should have chosen at team that promotes that culture.

What if we lost the title of the CL final because honest little Phil stays on his feet like he did against Southampton? Now I don’t like the diving personally but if it came down to us winning something I wouldn’t be that arsed

He didn’t dive today for me, he initiated contact and went down. He did through great play in tight space, acceleration and strength.

It was always a penalty but one won and I can see the frustration if given against us.

For me we have no immediate need for him and it would cost a lot of money, but I can see why Pep would want him. I also believe if we brought him he would quickly become one of the first names on the team sheet and as fans we would really warm to him.

He would become one of the stand out players in the Premier League, so in truth I’m all for it and would be a signing that I couldn’t wait to see play for City.

The only way I see this happening is a cash + swap deal. £100 million cash would be too rich for City's blood. Maybe Khaldoon's remarks about the need for "imaginative transfer deals was a reference to this. Also, I give not a shit about Grealish diving.

Been going to VP since aged 4. Great great great grandfather won FA Cup with Villa in 1905. Signed long term deal as owners convinced him of approach to fast track to compete for top 6 spots. No Grealish transfer rumour article bothers to mention this

It certainly does and from reading comments on this thread not enough people have seen him play very often other than his performances against us. He's a proper player and is trophy hungry which is only ever going to benefit us imo.

Ridiculous article from Paul Doyle from Guardian who has never been involved in reliable transfer rumours that I'm aware of. Grealish says the other day Villa aren't great at free kicks.
Few days later article says author understands Villa are looking to buy midfielders. JWP is great midfielder who takes good free kicks. No mention that he signed 5 year contract last season. Absolute fluff.

Don't get the diving/cheat comments... He gets a touch and goes down, that's being clever not cheating with todays refs.... Look what happened with foden when he stayed on his feet didn't get the penalty even with VAR! Cheating is throwing yourself down with zero contact.
