Things going for him : 1. homegrown 2. Age 3. Decent (but not world class) 4. Stayed loyal to his hometown club.
Things against : 1. Disappears for long periods in most games 2. Moans a great deal during games and you can imagine what his attitude would be when he would be left on the bench 3. Never seen him take a premiership game by the scruff of the neck. 4. Will never get to the potential of our Phil 5. Off field antics - although he may one day grow up a bit. 6. Fee Villa would demand.
So overall it would be a pass from me. Pep likes players to have the attitude of Bernardo and Merlin - he also likes good people off the pitch. Can't see it and he's more of a Utd player so good luck to them.
We are the Manchester City of 2020 chasing titles, not the Manchester City of the 80s and 90s, this guy is average in a terribly poor team, he is simply not good enough for a top 6 team, never mind a team who want to be the Champions of England and Europe.
We need to aim a lot higher than this. Grealish is painfully average. Decent player, but is he good enough to make the difference in a tight game away somewhere like Juventus or Bayern? Not in my opinion, we need absolute top quality, not just 'an ok player'.
