I’d rather that than the biting cold of Holland for instance.
I once had a week in Amsterdam in February. I wore what I considered to be clothes suitable for winter but I’d never been so cold - in a 10 minute walk between coffee shops you lost sensation in your legs and arms and the damp wind off the sea sweeping across the flat landscape could peel the flesh off your face.
Probably only 5 or 6 below but the high humidity and windchill had the effect of maybe a minus 15 or less.
I wouldn't advise Canada between the months of Dec and March then mate.

If I had the cash I would retire to Spain/somewhere hot and nice for 8 months of the year and come back home for the other 4 months.

I wouldn't miss the snow and rain in all honesty, living in Carlisle I have seen enough rain to last the rest of my life and I fkn hate snow. :)
Gave it some serious consideration but here l am still. City and family are pretty good reasons for staying here.
You left out the floods in Carlisle but Greece gets them too. If you Google 'Lakka floods' you will see they are flood some bloody good bars but on the plus side the flood water is.higher so you do not get that shock to the bollocks in the deeper parts.

You sure that feeling was not from what you were smoking in the coffee shops?

Those floods were 5 mins from my house but I live on a big hill :)

Boo hoo if it is a bit dark & cold for him. He knew what the weather was like when he signed the contract. If he's that soft that he can't take a couple of years of that until his contract finishes then we should get rid anyway. He could go anywhere he likes afterwards.
It can affect your mental health. He could be as hard as Tyson but it wouldn't matter . If he leaves I wish him well.
