Jack Grealish

Even had me believing a few weeks ago people saying it was done. Not anymore, starting to believe he will be staying at villa.

I dont rate him that highly anyway, dont think he would walk into our first eleven even if Bernardo leaves. Certainly overpriced at the quoted 90-100m price.

I think with Buendia Villa did a great transfer he will be a main creative force for them for quite cheap.

For me if he really was coming to city he'd be sorting that shit before going on a bender in Vegas. Just got this feeling he's getting a bumper pay rise at villa and he's used our interest to get it.
I've mentioned it a few times, but I find it really weird how all the apparent info from the Villa end suggests he's staying and all the apparent info from the City end suggests he's joining us. Nobody with any even remote connection to Villa has suggested he's joining us, and nobody with any even remote connection to City (for instance forum ITKs) has suggested he's staying.

If Grealish is joining City, what's with all the bravado from Villa? Either they're up to something nasty, or they genuinely believe he's staying.

If I had to guess what's going on, I'd think that Grealish's agent has done all the leg work with City, which is why people on the City end seem to be confident. But I think Grealish himself has kept his mouth shut and is genuinely undecided. Combine that with Aston Villa's renowned humility and they probably assume that enough to indicate he's staying (who wouldn't want to stay at Villa?) and that's where there confidence comes from. It's possible though that he's just not told Villa he's off (yet) so as not to forfeit any bonuses or whatnot, so they take that as a sign he's staying too.
