Jack Grealish

Does anyone else suspect this was sorted at the backend of last season? Grealish was injured for about 10 weeks I think and Smith was asked many times when Grealish would be back and a couple of times he said next week/ very soon (they coped really well without him - others stepped up) it looked a tad embarassing.
Then, just in time for the euros, he's back! It may well be he got his 'I'm not training/playing' in early.

The "injury" was a strange one and seemed never ending, had my doubts at the time.

He was missing for a couple of months, yet came back fitter than ever, again, slightly questionable.

In saying that and a deal was in place, would we not have signed him as soon as the window opened?

Agreed, it's weird
I think it's more the coup. Grealish walks into any team in the league for me. English. In his prime, or about to be that is, and the current poster boy (not that I care about that, but for marketing purposes I mean). He's a massive signing. Put it this way, come the start of the season I think you'll see more kids wearing Grealish shirts than any other player.

Depends, that would mean Villa paying a premium on their own targets.

His build up for the Euro's for one. The coverage this signing will get. For kids, too, it will be his all-round appearance, the superstar look. Obviously not for me, but he will be a marketing dream imo.

Not sure why myself but as an example my city obsessed 5 year old who will only get foden on any shirt few days ago said to me ‘can I get grealish on the next shirt please dad’.

He just seems to have something that people are drawn to whether it be women or children. A commercial dream really

I don’t really use Twitter anymore but I’ve just gone on there. Jesus Christ what a cesspit.

Villa fans trying to get Sam Lee fired now, how sad is that.
