I see this as a signing with the home grown quota in mind. Stuart Taylor left on a free, Barry isn't getting any younger, Johnson is unlikely to be at City long-term. So we need to always be on the look out for home grown players. I also wonder if that's what the thinking is/was with Scott Sinclair (if there was any truth in that story).

Hi all not at all claiming to be ITK, just passing on info that was given to me on a recent cruise to the Norwegian Fjords, on the cruise was Joe Royle as Guest speaker and he stated that City are in advanced talks to take Rodwell.

I dont know anymore whatsoever as the cruise is over, so make of it what you like... but he was very convincing!!!

Joe Royle is very well connected with the club and not only city, everton also and i def dont know tolmie or vvk, i do know Graeme sharp personally though if that helps

I don't watch Everton much but Rodwell's man marking of Silva against us last season was an excellent individual performance from him. Even if he was crap in other games, if Mancini could get him playing like that regularly he can't be too bad surely.

Very much this....he closed Silva down very well I thought. With the right coaching this could be a very good bit of business.
