That's how the ghastly expression "train station" has now established itself even among people who should know better. Usage changes. How else would you expect people to react to the guy in this particular thread? We're discussing him in light of the fact he's enforced an entirely pretentious set of archaic rules on his staff. One or two of which aren't even correct. He's ridiculous.

Also happy to talk about the fact that the arsehole would gladly deprive rape victims of abortions and gay people the right to marry too if we want to make it less about class though. Apologies if my sides aren't splitting at the prospect of him playing a part in the running the country.

He ain't wrong though. There is something inheritently wrong in the british psyche where we accept twats that would shit all over us because they look and sound like a P G Wodehouse charactor.

It’s our biggest weakness and why we keep electing people with no real discernible talent. Speak posh, chuck in a bit of Latin and half the country will let you get away with murder. In part it’s because we are conditioned to think this is what ‘clever’ people sound like and accept it without question.
