Jadon Sancho

As some have already mentioned, the coverage he is getting is way over the top ( good luck to the lad) but in my opinion the main reason the coverage is so much is to remind those that didn’t know that he actually was at city, but snubbed us for a move abroad (the snubbed bit was from bbc this morning ) and for certain media outlets to have a gloat over it also, throw in think it was sky waffling on about £100 mill bids or whatever and linked to big clubs in premier league Scousers, rags,Chelsea and spurs .Wonder also is it a bit of mischief making hoping to stir up unrest amongst the likes of Foden and Diaz to show your better off elsewhere, would this coverage be so over the top if he had fucked off from the rags or scousers think we know the answer to that..

Dont normally bother to read this thread as it became a vehicle for certain posters to knock Pep and the management for poor transfer management. Some have never got over Jim Castles' departure, some have an agenda against Soriano/ Txichi, as fans they have the right of course. For me, it's part and parcel of being a club that can compete for the signature of world-class players, and reminds me that the chavs took Swp because they could , nobody blamed the lad, but it was a stark reminder that we were not "top-table". Sancho made his choice and wish him the best, the fact he played for us bothers me not one bit. The media spin it to suit their anti-City agenda , be amazed if they didn't tbh

If the rags or scousers were in the infancy of their modern success, having been taken over in the exact same way we have been, and with the facilities having been built like what we’ve had, with the aim of producing talent, but within no time at all their brightest prospect left after they signed another big name, you bet your arse they’d get the same coverage. This isn’t anti city, it’s openly criticising a club for losing a player with a high reputation not just to another club, but another league, all because he isn’t going to get the chance to prove himself here due to the fact we sign ready made talent to get us instant success. That’s all it is.

Can see where your coming from, but I’m taking it as another dig at the club, the whole coverage has been near cringeworthy,( that’s not the lads fault). As for brightest prospect that’s far to early to say,Although i think we still have the brightest prospect at the club and that’s by a country mile ..

Sancho is getting a lot of media attention because it is rare for a young English player to go abroad and be successful. It may even be a sign of things to come for the top Premier League clubs. He’s a prodigious talent and it’s noteworthy that his career decision has been vindicated by his England call-up. The coverage he’s getting is nothing to do with the media having a dig at City.

It’s a dig at modern football. Add to that their take of ‘you can’t have a shiny new academy, sign record fee players and lose talent from that academy’, and it’s the perfect story to fill their columns, until X player fucks another players wife, big fat Sam gets stung again etc etc etc.

Yip agree, but as it’s city it’s gives them more reason to go that extra bit to criticise and critique..

And had it been Newcastle taken over, they’d get the same. Modern football.
Maybe but not to the extent we get,a lot comes about from rag loving hacks and media personal who don’t like seeing their club being unsurped,Newcastle a sleeping giant but not been in the shadow of a hometown rival to the level we had been..
