They are not supposed to be meaningless friendlies, England will be relegated to the next tier of the Nations League if they finish bottom of the current group which affects their future world ranking and seeding for competitions. If, as seems unlikely England win the group it’s automatic qualifying for the 2020 Euro’s. It’s not a competition for a player who I think has only played one full game for his club this season.

I can understand why fans are getting over excited about Sancho but he has a lot to prove, he’s a crowd pleaser but a lot of them don’t always have top careers.

Yeah, I spotted that one. Foden was MotT in the last Under WhatNots WC but he hasn't got a DT article on the back of it! He won't either, until the day dawns that he turns down a lucrative contract, goes off to TopContinentalSideFC and SNUBS MCFC, despite spending a Sheikh's ransom on a training complex!!

I truly believe he is a top talent but after watching him for a full match last week I don't think he is ready you the England squad yet. He makes the wrong decision at least 80% of the time. He will be incredibly good for England but we shouldn't rush it and put too much pressure on him at 18.

Yep he was like that in our youth team but he has a spark that will get you an assist or a goal in a 90 min game and in international football that’s all you need.
 
He is not good enough for England yet, we do not know if he is good enough for the U21`s yet , these games might be meaningless and not worth watching but there are proven players who are not being given a chance to prove themselves , and for what a bit of city bashing, Southgate you are a W*****R just like when he took Rashford to the world cup a week after saying he was going with the U21`s
 
Sancho puts me in mind of Sturridge. An emerging great talent at City but the hype got to him and he started trying to dictate to the club and put in a ridiculous pay demand for a teenager. His move to Chelsea didn't really work out nor his time at Liverpool. I wonder, in hindsight, if he would have achieved even more had he been better advised and not quite so arrogant.

City offered him more than he initially got at Dortmund. He moved for playing time because City couldn't give him assurances, and have an utterly shoddy history of introducing academy players in recent years.
