It is a worldwide movement that ultimately aims at killing or imprisoning anyone they don't like IMHO. Because it doesn't come wearing jackboots and black uniforms people think they're just slightly less normal right-leaning politicians. Democracy isn't perfect but I can't believe people want to be ruled by these amoral, dishonest, malicious, narcissistic, self-serving people.

I am friendly with a Brazilian couple. They are intelligent and very well off, he is very high up at a prominent GLobal audit company. Also well travelled, they've lived in US, Canada, Holland and the UK (Brazil too obviously).

When we have a dinner/few beers they are very likeable and good company. However, i broached the subject of their elections and they are adamant that Bolsonaro is a great leader and is imperative to stopping the whole of South America becoming a communist block. They get quite heated over it.

A very interesting outlook.
