James concerts

Fantastic live band, can still listen to james all night:), gmex (the sit down live vid) is my fav, tim booth is a quality front man

I think this is my definitive James gigography

1984 Palace Theatre Supporting The Smiths
1986 Manchester Town Hall (afternoon gig)
1988 The Ritz
1998 Albert Square (Commonwealth Games closing ceremony)
1999 Heaton Park Radio 1 Big Tent thing
2008 Paradise Club Boston Massachusetts
2008 Radio City New York (supporting Squeeze)
2009 MEN Arena Manchester v Cancer
2012 Webster Hall New York
2018 MEN Arena
2019 House of Blues, Boston, Massachusetts

However..... sometime in 1985 or 86 I saw them play a free gig outside the town hall on Albert Square for CND. Mentioned those on a few James forums and no one else recalls it nor is it listed on any gigographies.... I just happened to be passing by and saw them there...... anyone else remember it?

Recently saw them here at Visorfest in Murcia
Tim had a Michael Stipe presence about him - mesmerizing..
James and the Lightning Seeds were excellent, just singing along to hit after hit.
Teenage Fan Club also on the bill but couldn't hang around as they were last on
All for €50 - bargain..

James played at a free festival in Platt Fields (Simply Red were top of the bill), in 1985.
They were excellent, but have never seen them since despite buying a couple of albums...

Saw them around 2012 and also in 2020, just brilliant live, brilliant. So creative, I love bands brave enough (and good enough) to try different things at gigs
