Not sure another year at Sheff Utd is going to help him much. :-(
We'll see.Not sure another year at Sheff Utd is going to help him much. :-(
To a certain degree, yeah, but he needs to play in a progressive team, not lump it up to the forwards ball. We'll see.
I think the amount of minutes he plays and how he gets on playing in the PL, is what is important to us.
I think it's ideal myself. It's an automatic step up with the consistency of a team he already knows how to play in. The only issue is arguably going from a team that's expecting to win to a team that's trying not to lose. Not sure another year at Sheff Utd is going to help him much. :-(
It’s not the same team though, they’ve made signings and as you say, they’ll lose most of their games.I think it's ideal myself. That wouldn't be an outlandish opinion. It has a feel that we see Oscar Bobb as the most talented of the academy three - Palmer, McAtee and Oscar himself
Yeah, I think Bobb can be great. It has a feel that we see Oscar Bobb as the most talented of the academy three - Palmer, McAtee and Oscar himself
While I agree with this, and @FantasyIreland 's post, I also think Oscar is potentially the better player. We will see, by the look of it, and it is also true that he is already 20, so older than when James and Cole first came in to the the first-team squad.Yeah, I think Bobb can be great.
But I also think it’s about expectation.
Palmer and McAtee should expect many minutes at this stage.
Bobb doesn’t, so he is easier to convince to stay.
On the plus side, Bobb is very similar to Bernie on the RW, and if we lose Bernie in like 2 years, then Bobb is the natural replacement. Assuming he progressed over these 2 years.
The problem in playing for a generational team, I guess.Unless your Phil foden - generational talent good, it seems impossible to make it at city
I don’t count Lewis in that yet as he’s not a first team regular
I don't think Bobb's (damn, I can't type that without a Blackadder accent) position is going to be on the wing.Yeah, I think Bobb can be great.

I see him like Bernie. Attacking mid or wing, multi-purpose.I don't think Bobb's (damn, I can't type that without a Blackadder accent) position is going to be on the wing.
I agree. He reminds me of Bernardo and David - a creator in the final third, with vision, control and passing ability. I think he can play wide but will be more effective centrally. He is young and inexperienced though, so will need time, minutes and patience.I see him like Bernie. Attacking mid or wing, multi-purpose.
Especially if Walker or Lewis overlaps, they basically are a midfielder.

As we won the treble id say we picked the players required, he needed patience he didn't have it , good luck to him warming the bench at Chelsea instead winning nothingI suppose, but I think palmer for instance would have played and become a first team we if he had stayed/ been given more chances last season
