All Evertons players are apparently world beaters, yet as a team they a wank. Weird.

I do like McCarthy though, ever since his Wigan days. He'd be a great player to have in rotation/backup for whoever we bring in to replace Yaya in midfield. He can dictate a game, but also does his bit defensively. He's not got that star quality to regularly break open teams, but he can control the game nicely. We need two passers to replace Yaya and we could do a lot worse than McCarthy as one of them.

Even have a handful of good players. Coleman, Stones, McCarthy and Barclay. I'd probably take any of those as all would improve our squad but wouldn't want any of the others. Would have had Baines 3-4 years ago but too old now. We shouldn't be signing players over 25-26 now.

Lampard been a great player m8 in his career but shown nothing since Xmas. It's Fernando we need to replace. DeJong, Garcia and Barry were all much better protecting the defence than him.

Another Everton player in John Stones we should be watching.

All these foreign defenders being named yet I think Stones is on his way to becoming the real deal, he is the best young English defender we have had in a while.

Played superbly today.

'Decent squad player'?! Perfectly sums up some of our fan base at the minute; he's regularly bossing the midfield in the Premiership in a manner which non of our current squad has this season, yet because his name is James McCarthy and not fucking Pablo Hernandez Garcia he's only good enough to be a squad filler for us.

Regularly bosses midfields? Not done it that many times this season has he? Barry looked good today should we sign him back? He's a decent player and you're I think he'd be a decent squad filler for us that's all.

I think McCarthy is a great player but really after the shite we've bought over the last few years we surely need to be aiming higher? I know he plays deeper than the likes of De Bruyne and Isco, but thats who we should be aiming for.
