James Milner

Everything in the article is not factually wrong but I fail to lower myself to dipper standard, and be outraged. I just think Milner has not really done much wrong, he ran his contract down resulting in no fee being recieved but he is entitled to do so and should we not point the finger at the execs that allowed it to happen. He sought more playing time in a favoured position, he's again entitled to do that and the fact it hasn't worked out like that is not necessarily Milners fault. He took a signing on fee, I've yet to see many occasions whereby a player has turned one down and he's talked up his current employers which again isn't exactly unheard of. My only beef on the matter is not with Milner but with our great british press whom chose to have a polar opposite reporting slant when comparing with Ster, but lets be honest, thats just standard. I'll happily berate ex players when they have genuinely belittled or besmirched our fine club.

I know plenty who do,but that's not a theory i subscribe to.

I just think Sterling is a player who dared to 'disrespect' one of the established.

I think because he's young, rich and black he gets more stick than everybody else. You see this all the time, these negative stereotypes - oh he's lazy, oh he's a primadonna living the bling lifestyle, oh he's only in it for the money. All of which are stereotypes historically aimed towards black culture or black people. Black people are allowed to be big animalistic beasts like Vieira. They're not allowed to be tricky, technical and intelligent like Sterling or Ox. In fact look how intelligent a player Yaya is and he's still regarded by many opposition fans as a mostly physical player. Same with Makelele, Vieira, etc.

In fact it's often a joke in football that every black player who is a midfielder is the next Vieira in the same way that every exciting forward from Argentina is the next Maradona or Messi. The difference is that Argentinian is a nationality and black is a skin colour. Not every white tricky forward is crowned the next Maradona.

It happens in other sports too like F1 with Hamilton vs Button and the way they were perceived. In athletics it's not a problem because that's almost entirely physically based so nobody has a problem there - black people are stereotypically good athletes so this "makes sense". Boxing is the same although the racism historically in that sport is well known. My point is that if you're young, black and rich there's a stereotype around you based on black culture that is unfairly applied and people use as a jumping off point for their logic.

I often have my tongue half in my cheek when I talk about this, but I do generally feel it's a contributing factor. To what degree I'm not really sure but it's definitely not 0%. This might well be tainted by the fact that where I sit, right behind me there's a group of older white lads who look like fucking taxi drivers or something and constantly ride Sterling and want him subbed the whole game.

They are a city of professional mourners and moaners. Any excuse to post this (and no, its not a spoof! Its real)

Tributes left for a dead chicken
Flowers and tributes were left in an alleyway where the body of a mystery dead baby was found - before police realised it was only a chicken foetus.
A member of the public discovered the remains in a back alley in the Anfield area of Liverpool.

Police cordoned off the scene but soon realised that it was not a human but a chicken foetus.

Well-wishers had laid more than a dozen bunches of flowers at the scene, along with cards and teddy bears.

Local gossip

One of the cards read: "RIP Little Baby. Safe in the arms of Jesus. From someone who is a loving mother xxxx."

Merseyside Police told the community on Monday to "stop grieving, it's only a chicken".

Hahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.Fucking brilliant.

The Liverpool Echo was best. We're 'classless' apparently.

Ha ha as predictable a comment as it is sad, but just what you would expect by those bunch of muppets. No one sings louder, is more sporting and forgiving than the believing their own hype lovable Scousers. We all know the truth, as do the ones who were at Klanfield when our club and fans impeccably observed the Hillsborough disaster. How were they rewarded? By the sporting Mickeys booing our whole team for 90 minutes and then attacking our fans....after a game they actually WON and thought had sealed the title for them!

The media is to blame as it perpetrates this myth and hype as it does with the rags and the blind and stupid worldwide believe it, go out and buy a replica shirt and jump on the bandwaggon.

None of them will print just why Norman Wisdom was booed by some of the crowd on Sunday though will they? Or even have the intelligence to ask the question why he was applauded here last season and booed this one. We should start to adopt the Millwall song as ours instead of Blue Moon, as the OTT assassination of our club and fans by the brain dead click seeking media goes on and on.

Plenty of reasons why he was booed.

1) He strung the club along demanding playing time in central midfield in order to stay. We fulfilled his demands and he fucked off denying us a transfer fee.

2) He made the decision sound like it was all about Football, despite the fact he pocketed a hefty signing on fee.

3) He wanted to be the fifth penalty taker at the League Cup final. He didn't end up taking a penalty but he wanted the glory against his old club.

4) He scores against us at Anfield and celebrates by mocking the away fans with a lasso.

5) He takes a pot shot at the club during the week, saying the Liverpool team he's in is better than our side which won two titles.

He's a grade A twat and he deserves everything he gets. The fact he's offered sympathy by the media whilst Sterling takes flack for simply bettering his career sums the sorry state of Journalism up.
I never had a problem with points 1 to 4 as they are footballing reasons. Its saying that he is in a better team now than when we we won the league that turned it for me. I quite happily applauded him before the bin dippers destroyed us at home, but from now on he as slighted my club and I will boo him just as much as the Rags

Karma is a fucking beaut. I always said, the only consolation if the rags got the CL spot is knowing this c**t didn't.

The fact he may have cost them it is fucking wonderful.
