January transfer/its quiet Thread

Interesting insight, lending weight to the idea eg with Fred, to buy now, and him come here in the summer. Im guessing the 3 or 4 in will replace leavers in those positions - Toure for example. Who are 2 or 3 others likely to go or whose contract is up?

I presume the four positions are likely to be left back, centre half, centre mid and forward ( preferably one who can play anywhere across the front three).

That shows if they don't tie deals up they are pretty much fucked, the 3 players we are 6 months to a year away from losing are not playing and need replacing anyway, if they don't tie up half tgeir squad within a year they will be all over the shop (also we should make overtures for matial to run down his contract)

TBH his route to Real might have sailed - United will pay him whatever he wants. Without him this season, they'd be closer to Arsenal.

On his form, I think he could have the choice of many clubs abroad - and on good money. If he goes, it says to me that he doesn't see a clear route to success with manure

I think De Gea would only leave United for Real Madrid, and it looks like they’ve turned their attention to Courtois so wouldn’t be surprised to see De Gea extend his current deal.

Sounds like there looking for now as prices will sore because of world cup and inflated market .

Would have liked some lb cover and defensive midfielder to ease the burden on Ferny.

Despite some cries for a CB in this window I think we have enough to get by until the summer.

Yes VK is dodgy as and we certainly need strengthening in this position.

The other 4 chasing us look like each bringing in at least 2 new players in this window so although we have to trust the club and making sure the moves are the right ones I would have thought we would have bought some new blood in this window.
