What's everyone think about Luiz Gustavo
Was not that bad at Bayern and a lot better then Garcia

A good player but he has only joined Vfl Wolfsburg in the summer so I doubt they will consider any offers just yet,

Doubt he'll leave. Just moved to Wolfsburg int he summer. Had the opportunity to go to a number of clubs but preferred to stay in Germany. Yes he's better than Garcia but I don't think that should be our measuring stick.

Perhaps Capoue on loan from Spurs? comfortable on the ball, quite energetic, solid defensively and would give good cover for Yaya and Ferna until the summer when Alonso/Matic/Matuidi/Pogba and Zuculini come in. He has fallen behind Sando, Eriksen and Dembele in the pecking order, and they also have Paulinho and the much fancied Bentaleb in his position as well as Sigurdsson and Holtby. They are apparently interested in a loan for Lescott, maybe we could do some kind of swap, leaving space to sign an upgrade at centre back.

Capoue played for Spurs against United last week though and played very well also. I think he is a big part of their plans; otherwise, I would bite their hands off. Swap Lescott and him and we would be in good shape. Not gonna happen though...
Capoue seemingly surplus to Sherwood's plan at Spuds. Would take him off their hands and shift Garcia.

Speaking of Spurs, if there were a shout of getting Dembele out of them I'd be in for it. Love him.

No way Jose ... Injury prone.

If accurate, that Micah was subbed due to yet another hammy gone, then we simply must get another RB asap!

Zabba can't play every single game, and if he does suffer an injury we are out of real options.

Clyne would be my pick, not too good (as in wouldn't accept being second to Zabba) yet still good enough to fill in when called for. British as well.

As you say it depends on reason for Richards being subbed and whether Pellegrini feels he has seen enough and wants a Premier League proven alternative.

I don't think the Clichy experiment worked very well.

Suppose you're right; we probably only have so many tables in the physio's room, and Richards, Rodders and Jovetic are all on the books...

-- Thu Jan 16, 2014 3:29 pm --

Chambers over Clyne for me...

Micah looked fine going off - personally it just looked like first game back , Pelle took him off when game was won to protect him

That's what I figured as well, but someone in the main forum mentioned he was at the game, heard and saw Micah come off talking to Pellegrini, shaking his head pointing at the hamstring and walking straight down the tunnel.

Could be someone just winding us up I guess.

Micah's exit edited out of tunnel cam - must be true then

We are sat near the tunnel - looked fine to me - just fatigued, maybe cramp ....

There was only about 10 minutes to go when Micah went off, wasn't there? Doesn't suggest anything more sinister than that he had played as long as Pellers was prepared to risk him after his time out with injury over the last year?

About half way through this article, guy chats with Rob Newman, says he's adamant we won't be doing any business this Jan.
