One thing that is obvious to the majority of city fans is that we are lacking a mobile defensive midfielder that will just patrol in front of the defence, win and pass the ball off simply. Fernandinho is doing well, but he likes to get forward and doesn't like to just sit in the middle. If us mere fans can see the problem surely the management can too.

According to ESPN, Iker Casillas hasn't played a minute of club football this season.
Wonder if they would be interested in a loan with option to buy? Surely at 32, with a high salary and without a minute played, he isn't worth a significant fee.

abel hernandez or marco reus would be good squad players.
angel di maria or paul pogba would be additional goal threats which we dont need as much.
