There apears to be a big assumption that the owners are willing to spend another huge ammount next summer because any ffp sanctions will be lifted.

Yes, he is very very wealthy and has already spent several hundred million, but I'm sure the Sheik has a limit to his generousity. Are we becoming spoilt to the extent that we believe we can buy anyone because our owner is super rich?

At some point he will say, I have invested enough and dont want to spend any more.

the point is that any spending we do from now is not directly out of his pocket. It would come from our revenue streams. But yes, you are right, he may decide to reap the profits and get the return on his investment

Well if he thinks he's going to get that with players like Clichy and Fernando in the side he's going to be sadly disappointment!

Need Tolm to come a reassure me that Clichy and Yaya won't be at the club at the start of next season.

EPL Insider: Pellegrini dealt January transfer blow
The Manchester City boss will be told his job is safe by the club's owners but will not be able to strengthen his squad significantly after a slow start to the season

PELLEGRINI DEALT TRANSFER BLOW

Manuel Pellegrini will be given limited transfer funds by the club's owners in January.

Pellegrini will be told in a meeting next week that the owners still have faith in his ability to work with technical director Txiki Begiristain.

But the Chilean will also be told there will be little cash to spend because primary transfer targets, Marco Reus and Ross Barkley, are not for sale in January.

City have already explored the possibility of signing both players and are aware of the availability of the majority of their targets.

Pellegrini is hoping City will be able to keep hold of Frank Lampard, on loan from New York City FC, at the club until mid-March ahead of the new MLS season.

The Premier League champions are also weighing up a January move for Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez, but are keeping tabs on his progress after a cruciate ligament injury.

Pellegrini is seen by the Abu Dhabi Group as having the character to keep his head and have acknowledged how much last summer's World Cup has also impacted on his squad and pre-season preparations.

GUIDETTI SET FOR NEW MAN CITY DEAL

John Guidetti could be offered a shock new deal to stay at Manchester City.

The Academy graduate, 22, is out of contract in the summer and Celtic, who have taken the Sweden international on loan, are keen to make his stay at Parkhead permanent.

Guidetti has impressed in the Scottish Premiership and was voted the Scottish Player of the Month for October after scoring nine goals in nine games last week.

City are demanding around €3.8 million from Celtic to agree a deal in January and prevent another club signing the striker on a Bosman.

But the Premier League champions are also weighing up an offer of a new contract for the forward.

Guidetti earns around €28,000 per week and the Blues are prepared to double that figure if the player makes it clear he would like to commit.

City feel Guidetti's true value is closer to €9m and Celtic will not be able to match the wages City can offer.

Signing Guidetti to a new contract would allow City to either give the striker a first team opportunity, or cash in on the 22-year-old at a later date.

Been thinking we should copy what Chelsea done yesterday.

Hart can be our Courtois
Zaba can be our Ivanovic
Kompany and a new center back can be our Terry and Cahill
New left back can be our aspaasomethinga
Yaya can be our Fabregas
New central midfielder can be our Matic
Someone can be our Hazard
Silva can be our Oscar
Milner can be our Ramieres
Aguero can be our Costa

Navas can be our Willian
Dzeko can be our Drogba
Kolarov can be our Felipe Luis.

If you compare the players they are fairly similar and at home to smaller teams we can be a bit more attacking.

Fuck knows who our Aspasomethina, Matic, and Hazard can be.

Strongly feel J-Rod of Southampton can be our Remy.

Just a couple of changes

Kjaer the lad from Lille?
(Google isn't working)

Yes the lad from lille due to the fact that he had 2 solid performances against everton and lille seem to be pretty solid largely due to him.(he would only be as a back up mind)

Tielemans is going to be such a great player. he's the type of talent we need to be snapping up now for relatively small fees and unopposed by other big teams rather than trying to buy him for a bigger team in a few years once he's become established.

January is only for essentials imo, it's not much of a time to be looking for huge signings. We need a LB, badly. Other than that, I think we're a man short in CM, esepcially once Lampard leaves. There are other areas we could improve, but those are the essentials imo.

I doubt if we will sign anyone in January

There is unlikely to be anyone available who could step in to the first team

We should be looking to only buy players who would go straight into our first eleven.

If we have to fill the squad we have an EDS for that!
