You can't recall players from season long loans to another English Premier League club.

edited for accuracy.

Nothing stops us recalling Lopes, Denayer, Guidetti, Rekik, Zuculini or any other EDS player at any time we wish, since none of them are on loans to clubs in this division.

Is that so? Though i guess it depends on the contract too. Clubs could have stipulated that when the deal was agreed.

It is. No recall is a rule in the Premier League between two of it's clubs, whereas in any other loan it's an option that the parent club have to agree to, much like the permission to play in domestic cup matches.

BigOscar - there are 2 reasons that Boyata was given a new contract - 1he is a competent defender - 2 City have nearly no home grown players and Boyata is home grown and so fulfills that category. Even if the other players were better he would have still been given a contract and included in the official named squads.
HG and Club Trained, the only one at the moment...
Not sure how many times people need these supposed "quotas" explained to them. We don't need any homegrown players, club trained of otherwise.
The last time I looked we're restricted to 16+4+1 in the CL this season, are you suggesting we just submit a 16 man squad plus the kids?

No, I'm not at all saying we shouldn't have any HG players, I'm saying we do not need to keep people just because of some imaginary quota. He said we needed to keep Boyata, which is simply untrue. There is a perception from some that we need to fill the HG places, rather than them just being options. We could of gone with Denayer or Rekik with no difference to squad places whatsoever. As our only club trained over 21, he was essentially a CL squad freebie, but so is every U21 year old who's been at the club for 2 years.

Pre-season, at least, most would chose Boyata over Denayer (who had only been at City for 12 months so would take 1 of the 16 FT spots (?)) or Rekkik.
Regarding the 'A' list, can we promote a 'B' list player in order to fill a spot? (Not that I can see any advantage to that.)

I think you've answered your own question there. If they are available anyway on the 'B' list, it makes no sense to move them to the 'A' list.

It is 3 years.
Its why Pogba could not be a Home Grown player despite his time at dingely dell.

You are mixing it up.

I am pretty sure you can only be unregistred as an U21, if you're 21 or under and have been in the club for 2 years, otherwise you'll need to register the player.

You are thinking of registering him as an official U21 club/country trained player, who fills up the quotas. Because that's right, you need to play 3 years before turning 21.

Wot e sed^^^^ Hence Nasty being free this year but not last year and not next year (not that it matters now).

Denayer had his usual solid game today - steady Eddie stuff. His two highlights occurred in the first 5 mins of the match. In the first minute he ranged from the right half to within 15 yds of the left touchline to corral a ball looped over VDV and Izzy. No way he makes that read 3 months ago - and he made it so easily today. And then in the 4th minute he carried the ball at speed right up the gut from the midfield stripe to the top of the box before veering out to the right corner flag to receive a return ball. That's when he did the move in this link sending him along the end line toward the near post to slide a pass dangerously thru the mouth of the goal - http://i2.wp.com/share.gifyoutube.com/v ... =722%2C406
