Chelsea could do worse.Probably but he’s good with the ball at his feet. Not many sides playing with three at the back, maybe Southampton would be a good fit.

Had forgotten about them. Yes, and Tuchel would know him when managing PSG.Chelsea could do worse.
Probably above the level of both of those. Definitely so with Troyes. There's no point in him coming to one of the CFG 'B' teams, it wouldn't bring him close to us and it'd be a step down when he can move to a top euro team. What about Troyes or Girona? Still reckon he could have been good for us if managed better.
Both Torino and Internazionale have been linked with him in recent days, though when you are a free agent it’s all about quibbling over wages and neither club apparently wants to pay him what he is asking for.Probably above the level of both of those. He should be looking at; top-half Bundesliga, top-half La Liga, maybe Anderlecht, or at least a mid-table side in the EPL, for his next move.
I'd say either of those would be a better move than Troyes/Girona. Inter is the right level for him. The incident you refer to happened after City got him to sign a five year contract and then not give him a chance in the first team. I also believe that he was not convicted for assault and had been coming to the aid of a friend who was in a fight with others. I agree that such an incident is not great but it seems to have been a one-off - he is hardly Joey Barton. The way his career was handled by City?
He probably shouldn't have gone around kicking people in the head. That might have helped.
He gets a chance in the first team if he is good enough. The incident you refer to happened after City got him to sign a five year contract and then not give him a chance in the first team. After his successful loan at Celtic he did not get a chance at City but got sent on loans to Galatasaray and Sunderland which did not really work out and set back his development. I am not saying that he would have become a first team regular but I do think he should have been given more opportunities than he received.

"not great" is putting it lightly. christ almighty.
Who's fault is that it didnt work out at Galatasaray and Sunderland?
I watched him at Celtic partnering VVD and despite what people say now, he wasn't that far behind him. I thought he was an excellent prospect. The incident you refer to happened after City got him to sign a five year contract and then not give him a chance in the first team.
