Maybe he didn't make the bench because he's leaving ???
Rodwell did an amazing job replacing him yesterday. Surplus requirements!

Rodwell didn;t have a good game, but Demichelis did okay in midfield.
So you're solution is to leave us stretched even more thinly at our most vulnerable position ie CB? Have you considered that at this point you're very invested in being right instead of what's best?

The ideal solution would be to move Milner to midfield, get rid of Garcia and buy a proper winger.

Sell Lescott and buy a decent CB.

Sell Clichy and buy Shaw.

Milner doesn't do what Garcia does. Use the proper tool for the job. And you want to spend £30 million on Shaw?

... who can sit on the bench behind our most direct creative outlet Kolarov. Having sold our only defensively disciplined midfielder and left our cover in wide areas at just Navas and a January signing.

No 'ideal solution' involves selling a specialist player who's damn good at the job the manager wants him to do that none of our other players are equipped to do.

True. Was on my tablet and didn't feel like grinding all that out. Thanks! :)

Jesus, I never thought I'd read Bluemoon members wishing for Garcia back, what a turn around.

Granted, I think we could have done with him against Chelsea and I appreciate his, albeit slightly limited, role.
