Going in the summer.

The move for Fernando simply focused his head on what he now needs to do.

He's been so bad that anything above average makes him stand out.

Deserves credit for improvement.
Ok I know that I am am going soft in my old age (in more ways than one), but I actually don't want Javi to go now.

I know we were working from a low base, but his rate of improvement has been astonishing. It might be the case that his head has been turned by the Fernando rumours, but we all know that some players take a while to adjust to the demands of this League.

I feel that Javi is now learning how to position himself, and in particular how to tackle. This has made an immense difference to his game, and is what we all expected from day one.

At the moment there is not a team in the league that I would not feel comfortable him playing against. He may not be up to the top European teams, but he is holding his own now in the League.

Tolmie may well be right and the decision may already have been made, but I for one hope Tolm is wrong in this instance.

Is there a Garcia song? If so I think it would be great to get it going to show him what we think of his improvement which will give him even more confidence !

I want him to go. 5 games at a decent standard doesn't make up for the piss poor performances of the last couple of years. Especially when young Huws is making big waves at Birmingham and we are already in for another centre mid.

-- Mon Feb 24, 2014 12:28 pm --

I know where you are coming from but it won't be a case of let Rodwell go, and Garcia can stay.

Rodwell is out this summer, anyhow.

Looks like going back to Everton, perhaps on an initial 12-month loan with an agreement to buy.

Our English quota will take a hit, with Lescott, Barry, Sinclair and Richards all out the door.

We have to get some homegrown bodies into the club and we are aware Javi can be upgraded for Fernando for little or neutral cost.

What's this all about?

Question... was it him that started the sequence that led to our goal? I don't have time to watch a replay but I'm curious.
Nasri IIRC.
