His tackling, or rather willingness to actually get stuck in have been what i've noticed in his improvement. He's actually decent at tackling but he based his game a bit too much around positioning to really work in our league, now that he's getting in a position to take the ball himself rather than stop the pass his overall game is remarkably better.

Going in the summer.

The move for Fernando simply focused his head on what he now needs to do.

He's been so bad that anything above average makes him stand out.

Deserves credit for improvement.

If he plays like he is now and Pellegrini remains in charge I believe there's every chance he'll still be at the club after next summer.

Someone better tell Fernando then!

I agree with Forza, could well force his way into plans playing the way he has been .I can see Rodwell leaving before Garcia, can't ever see him being good enough or fit enough, home grown or not.Possibly Micah too !

I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing the end of Rodwell before Garcia goes anywhere.

It's hard to have too many options in central midfield. If Garcia carries on showing his worth, keeping him would only help us. Both Fernandinho and Yaya would have more games with more license to get forward.

As it's been said, its more than likely Rodwell will go and Javi will stay IMO.
