Think he needs to play against Villa. Delph is very fast so we need someone to sit back and plug his runs. Toure and Fernan might leave us susceptible to counter attacks.

Couldn't match Barkley's bursts of speed, but remained disciplined and refused to be dragged around with Evertons possession. They never looked like passing through us while he was there. Harsh booking forced him to be very cautious in the second half, which he did well. Generally I thought we defended as a unit very well today and refused to let them drag us out of our shape with their sideways passing

Struggled against the speed of Barclay - didn't get near him tbh. But he has deffo boosted his market value - Fernando will be a great upgrade. Tall, strong and quick.

Same here......had a feeling he would struggle in this game. Was worried he was going to get a red too after the first booking!
