Club should have a look at Kevin Strootman, about to push De Jong out of the Dutch national team and has a super passing range while being combative. Cheap probably, probably bit more than half what Garcia would cost.

We've had a bid rejected according to the times, Benficas chairman said he won't leave for anything less that the £24m buy out clause.

For that price you would think he is a regular in the Spain squad or at least a noticable subsititute coming from the bench.

I think we are getting desperate now and going for options that are probably on the back pages of Mancini's transfer list.

Probably that's the situation but what to expect when we could start making deals (offers at least) on 1st of June but we waited until 28th of August.

Good if we have had an offer rejected it means we will go back and make a new one. Never accept opening offer even if it exceeds what you hoped to get the buyer will always make a higher offer.

Surely it would be cheaper to just give De Jong a new contract? Or am i missing something? IS Garcia a different type of player?

Are you missing the fact he was offered a far better contract than his talent merits and he turned it down?

Offered 17M last week. But it's clear if won't sign DDR or Martinez... Garcia is the man.

I still think Mancini will have something up his sleeve regarding this guy.

Stop pretending you're ITK, you've probably never been anywhere near Manchester.

I can't believe I'm gonna say this (even worse if he we did get him), but we need to forget this man. He's Roma all the way. He will only leave one way.... if Roma tell him "please leave, its too much money to refuse and we could build an excellent team with this money".

No other way. Throw in 40 of the worlds hottest women, the highest paid salary of any footballer hell even a palace in UAE and he would say no. We will have to offer a MONSTER bid to Roma, one to rival Ronaldo...yes that fookin big!

So lets go for the Garcia!

So it's better to sell him for about £6m, replacing him with a seemingly similar player who will cost around £24m, who i assume will also get a contract which will be of far more value than his ability merits?

I'm just wondering if Garcia has more to his game than De Jong.
