Exactly. Judging a player off 10-15 games is ludicrous.

Yeah coz it's fuckin hard to pass a ball out of play under no pressure !!!

If that's the case: he had a 95% pass accuracy against Sunderland and 97% against Reading few weeks ago but we all know that it's not only about one or few passes so really can't see why are you pointing out one silly moment.

My grandad can pass 4/5 yards sideways and backwards !!

And judging a player off one pass is equally as bad. Were you saying he was brilliant when he scored v stoke? No. So give him a season. If he doesn't settle and plays poorly next season then fine. But give him half a fucking chance.

No I wasn't saying he was brilliant because he headed a ball. I call someone brilliant that performs every single time he plays, like Messi, Ronaldo, xabi, iniesta. Garcia is another average summer signing. The only one that has come out looking good is nastasic .

But I've seen all those players misplace a pass. So are they shit over one pass. He usually passes a simple ball and that's it but you highlight one pass.

I don't think we have seen the best of him yet. Apologies for thinking that way after 20 games but that is how I see it. Benfica fans weren't happy he went. He has a Spanish cap. He can't be all that bad. Yes I know several shit players have international caps and the Portuguese league isn't as good as ours. But there's more to come I'm pretty certain.

But does he track back?

As far as I can see he is improving game by game
well at that rate he will be 56 by the time he is fit to lace de jongs boots

He will die before he reaches that level. He was called the warrior at benfica. Surely there's a player in him somewhere. Or have we've been done over with a clone and Garcia is still there.

I honestly can't see how anyone would class today's performance as a good game for him? he won 2 tackles, backed out of about 4 (2 of them before he got booked), he was 5 yards behind the game as usual. Could you class him having a good game by making 5-10 yard passes to players, that a 12 year-old could do? we were playing Watford and he looked like the standard of a Watford player.

Every Watford player had time to bring the ball down, turn and attack. Where was Garcia? 10 yards up the pitch. Slow, immobile and literally can't read the game.

Trots about the pitch like he's got all the time in the world, when the team shuffles from left to right i ALWAYS watch garcia. He doesn't move with the game, his positional sense at Newcastle away was even worse. he got away with murder and Newcastle losing possession covered him. 'he scored a goal', papered over the cracks. I'd rather see him do the job we bought him for, as much i want him to succeed i just can't see it.

Everytime he gets the ball you hear the crowd, you wonder what's going to happen. Usually i wouldn't judge a player so early. But considering he is already supposed to be a real quality player, you would expect to see more.

I dread the thought of him playing at Arsenal, the idea just scares me. Barry and Milner in the centre please, Garcia is disaster waiting to happen. It was only Watford today, and he looked dodgy.

One moment summed him up today, that horror ball to Zabaleta who was 8 yards away. He booted it out of play, stood there and did nothing. 3 Watford players just breezed past him as the thrown-in was taken, 5 seconds later he was 10 yards behind them trying to catch up. That one moment sums up his whole awareness/reading of the game/positional sense.#

Not impressed, wouldn't bother me if he didn't play another game this season.

Sick of hearing Nigel de Jong's name, to be honest. Always had a lot of time for the guy, will always like him as a man, but some people seem to have completely fabricated him being a vital player for us during our title-winning season. He started 11 games, ELEVEN, of 38.

For me, how strong an opinion someone has on de Jong leaving has become the quickest way to work out if a fellow City fan is an idiot or not. Last season it was "Get Johnson on" after 10/20/30 minutes, before that it was those who didn't rate Yaya Toure.

It really baffles me beyond belief. We had De Jong one of the most feared defensive midfielders in the world. nobody breaks up play like he did for us. Regular International with world cupfinal experience, loved by the fans and gave everything for the shirt and ultimate proffessional. Ok he was limited with his passing range and in other attacking areas, and maybe he was asking a bit much in contract negotiations but he was bought and payed for and settled in manchester and the squad. SO WHY OH WHY not pay him a few extra quid and keep him. Instead of spending 18m on an unproven international from an inferior league and of MUCH MUCH inferior talent. who ever made that decision should be brought out before the next game and stoned to death by the fans then set on fire!!!!!!

Why the fuck didn't we use the money we've spunked on Garcia and Rodwell and buy Fellaini?

100% agree a perfect description Arsenal will rip him to bits I fear for us and him in that game
