But I've seen all those players misplace a pass. So are they shit over one pass. He usually passes a simple ball and that's it but you highlight one pass.

I don't think we have seen the best of him yet. Apologies for thinking that way after 20 games but that is how I see it. Benfica fans weren't happy he went. He has a Spanish cap. He can't be all that bad. Yes I know several shit players have international caps and the Portuguese league isn't as good as ours. But there's more to come I'm pretty certain.
Started poorly today, looked nervous, but again he steadily improved for me, he's now got several games to prove himself, hopefully he will.

At least you are giving him half a chance. Several good players would be fucked off before half a season if a lot on here had their way.

Sick of hearing Nigel de Jong's name, to be honest. Always had a lot of time for the guy, will always like him as a man, but some people seem to have completely fabricated him being a vital player for us during our title-winning season. He started 11 games, ELEVEN, of 38.

For me, how strong an opinion someone has on de Jong leaving has become the quickest way to work out if a fellow City fan is an idiot or not. Last season it was "Get Johnson on" after 10/20/30 minutes, before that it was those who didn't rate Yaya Toure.
Im with you Nigel de Jong he hardly played for us in the league last season.A bit like Garcia this season but he as been injured

To be fair though how many times did he come off the bench which then allowed Yaya to be pushed forward to great effect newcastle away springs to mind. But I agree he's someone who used to play for us, time to move on, I just hope in time Garcia can step up to the plate.

I thought Milner had a poor start today, his first touch was awful for half an hour, but he kept going, and kept getting himself into good positions, and in the end I agreed with his MoM.

Good players play their way into form, and like Milner, Garcia is a good player, but he has the disadvantage of coming from a slow league, and at times it shows. Silva and Yaya both had average starts here, for much the same reasons, but they are now considered irreplaceable.

Would he be better employed as a 3rd/4th choice centre half? Sell Lescott for 8m and then put that money towards the midfielder we should have bought originally?

Bar The two bad misplaced passes today that I noticed he looked pretty good. Put himself about and looked decent. Must carry that into the league.

Forget De Jong he is now history no need for comparisons. Garcia is a terrible footballer he will need to improve beyond all recognition as it stands. We all hope he does but I think Mancini got this one wrong. The good thing is he admits it when he has ie Savic, he may be here this season and I wish the lad well but I fear the worse for us and him. Just one of those things hopefully next season we will sign a nastasic instead of a Savic in that department!

I will never forget De Jong, and as for no need for comparisons, why not? Garcia was bought to improve the squad, to take NDJ's position and add some class/flair, we have more than enough of the attacking type players in our team and Yaya's role as 1 of the best box to box attacking MF's in the world has paid the price! I agree we needed to evolve and go forward, but it still pains me! 2 players have made the difference in English football this season RVP and NDJ!

He has no speed at all and his passing is terrible.

Needs to improve. His lack of pace will hinder him in the premier league.
