His biggest problem is his positioning, it's woeful at times. Look at the chance Watford had and you'll see what i mean. Watford's best player was that no.39 - Chalobah. He threaded some superb balls through at times and had it been for better finishing they would have scored. Garcia was nowhere near this guy when the said balls were played. He should have been there to stop situations like that.

He's a decent player who has had a slow start (Stoke away being the exception) but he's getting better with every game. Just because he doesn't go tearing around the midfield flying into tackles like De Jong use to doesn't make him "shite".

Apart from heading the ball what qualities does he have that would suggest to you that he isn't shite? Passing is shocking- takes forever to get to the man & is more often than not bobbling and behind the man. Slow as fuck. Backs out of challenges at times. Positioning when we don't have the ball is terrible. Watford (championship club) midfield ran through him at ease

The only times Watford threatened were a quick ball out from defence bypassing midfield to their quick forwards.

Personally I'd like him to succeed, in fact i want every player to succeed but saying that i'd like to succeed (in playing for us) but sometimes we dont always get what we want in life.

At least he's playing well now. Next step is to reproduce form against better teams.

Ideally he needs to have the right players around him i.e. he plays as a sitting midfielder with Nasri, Silva, Milner around him. If Barry or Yaya plays in the deep position I don't think he's so good.

Encouraging few games. Just what's expected really. A good player getting a few games together and adapting to the English game and his new team mates

Silva had the same problem, but he was played game after game and didn't have an injury as well to contend with. With Garcia it's been stop start

Fucking bullshit post.... yes u are right about the figures but figures dont paint the whole picture. last year we were rampant and attacking teams and destroying most of them so a de jong like player wasnt needed an extra atttacking option was a smarter choice. but this year we are crying out for de jong. last year the defence was rock solid and settled and playing well without injuries.... this year for what ever reason wether it be changes to system,personnel, or just players tired or just not in the same amazing form as last year. AND with the injuries and suspensions we need a player like this. OK I admit he wasnt the most blessed with talent that money can buy so I accept that if the club could UPGRADE for a few extra quid then as a man that wants the best for us i would be 110% behind it....... but look what happened they traded a rotwieller for spanish poodle and a 1 legged chi huahua and to make it even worse payed 40 million for the pleasure. you say that u can judge a city fan as stupid by saying they prefer de jong to the 2 replacements well that tells me much more about you than it does about me..... serious question if you could have de jong back as he was and 40 million to spend elsewhere or these 2 mongs who would you choose???????

With all injuries, NDJ's departure. some Hart's mistakes etc.. we conceded 3 goals more than last season so far in the league.

NDJ as important player is the biggest myth on BM. He contributed with 1070 minutes last season. Squad player, nothing more. And wanted to leave. Good luck.

Regardless of which opinion you hold on this subject you cannot list NDJ's departure as one of the reasons that we have conceded more goals this season and then in the next sentence say that importance is a myth again bullshit!!! Knee deep today!!!

I did not list the NDJ departure as a reason why we have conceded more goals, it's purely there because you somehow hinted that NDJ was the magic difference between rock defence from last season and awful one from this.

And he was not the reason for rock defence last season as he was squad player only + defence is still quite good and conceded only 3 goals more in 21 games.

i don,t expect a cultured,composed, deep- lying central midfield player to be able to out-run linford christie...i,d expect garcia to be able to hold his posistion,be an out-let for his centre back,excell at ball retention,put in a tackle when needed,drop back to cover for a team-mate who has joined the attack,make numerous 5 to 10 yard passes,ensure the shape of the team is maintained throughout the match,use his height to advantage when attacking/defending free kicks and be smart enough to change tactics/shape at short notice, dependent upon the managers instructions....

Garcia was not brought by Roberto to be some form of 1970,s english midfield runner...we are not stoke city, we are manchester city.

Totally agree with we need to move on and i think we have and i am also sure when playing we will all get behind any player that plays. we are talking more about what a shocking decion it was by the club to let this happen. not really down to Garcia and Rodwell as players. the club didnt know or i hope they didnt know how it was going to turn out. but the idea was to move on dejong and improve on what we have moving forward and continually upgrading that is how you get better and better. but to Let a guy go who we paid 18m for and who had been a good servant to the club and then replace him at significant cost. including salaries has proved to be a very bad decision we are actually weaker as a squad than last season and other teams have improved. That is my point shocking decision making!!!! also I agree that Garcia will get better and with a few games under his belt, that he will now get. hope to see a real improvement on what has been a slow start to his time here. Rodwell I just cannot ever see him being fit enough for long enough to reach the potential that he show when younger and fit. Smelt a rat when gollum sold him to us without even the slightest dig at us.
